Dayton, Ohio — With a desire to help stem the Veteran suicide crisis, JJR Solutions has partnered with Sigma Health Consulting, LLC to provide research and data services to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veteran suicide prevention efforts.

“We are honored and humbled to be supporting VA’s Clinical Decision Framework (CDF) contract to turn the tide on the national suicide crisis affecting our Veterans and their families,” said Jeff Boeckman, JJR Solutions Program Manager for the VA CDF program.

The Clinical Decision Framework contract with VA’s Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention (OMHSP), awarded in September 2019, seeks to keep Veterans safe through:

  1. Research and Program Evaluation (RPE), which involves helping VA set a national research agenda for suicide prevention. Leveraging Sigma’s extensive clinical studies and evaluation experience, Team JJR is researching, analyzing, and recommending best practices in suicide prevention; conducting literature reviews; tracking ongoing VA research projects related to suicide prevention; and translating research findings into actionable data for VA.

  2. Clinical Decision Framework (CDF) Support, which undergirds VA clinical and leadership decision-making and Veteran outreach by maintaining and enhancing OMHSP’s dashboards and databases. Team JJR is helping VA transition to the new Cerner Millennium medical record system while maintaining and supporting current dashboards.

“We so want to positively contribute to the health and well-being of our Veterans, and this partnership with VA and our teammate Sigma does just that,” said JJR Solutions President Dave Judson. “Our Veterans deserve the best our nation has to offer, and we are grateful to VA for placing confidence in our JJR-led team to execute this important project.”

The contract, awarded under VA’s Veteran Enterprise Contracting for Transformation and Operational Readiness (VECTOR) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), will run through September 2020 and includes two option years. Work is being performed in Dayton, Ohio; Washington, DC; and Palo Alto, Calif.
